SoC Process Technologies


Over the years, UMC has emerged from being a semiconductor technology laggard to an industry technology leader. UMC surpassed the global average set by the International Technology Roadmap for Semiconductors (ITRS) in 1998, and has now reached parity among the world's top semiconductor companies in terms of introducing new process technologies. In 2003, UMC was the first pure-play foundry to deliver working 90nm customer products.

High tech applications vary greatly in terms of the technology they require. UMC offers the right technology and process device options to fit any customer application, from extremely high speed to ultra high density, or anywhere in between.

UMC's comprehensive offering of logic and mixed signal processes spans from our most advanced 90nm technology to 0.6um specialty processes. Customers can choose from different process nodes, voltage options, and mixed mode/RFCMOS technologies to form a customizable platform base for their SoC designs.
